Clinicopathologic significance of TROP2 and phospho?TROP2 in gastric cancer

چکیده
Trophoblast cell?surface antigen 2 (TROP2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed in epithelial cells. Increased TROP2 expression has been reported to be associated with malignant progression most carcinomas; however, tumor?suppressive function certain types of cancer. Since the controversial, present study subsequently aimed clarify clinicopathologic significance and pTROP2 human gastric cancer (GC). The cases 704 patients GC who underwent gastrectomy were retrospectively analyzed. levels each tumor evaluated by immunohistochemistry. association between features their tumors was identified 330 (46.9%) 306 (43.5%) GC, respectively. histological intestinal type, high invasion depth (T3/T4), lymph node metastasis, lymphatic venous invasion. By contrast, increased low (T1/2), no metastasis poorer overall survival (OS) (P<0.01; log rank test), whereas significantly improved OS test). In conclusion, TROP2, but not pTROP2, may metastatic ability resulting poor prognosis GC.

Augmented expression levels of lncRNAs ecCEBPA and UCA1 in gastric cancer tissues and their clinical significance
Objective(s): As the second cause of cancer death, gastric cancer (GC) is one of the eminent dilemmas all over the world, therefore investigating the molecular mechanisms involved in this cancer is pivotal. Unrestricted proliferation is one of the characteristics of cancerous cells, which is due to deficiency in cell regulatory systems. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as critical re...
متن کاملClinical significance of TROP2 expression in colorectal cancer.
PURPOSE AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN To identify cancer-related genes, the expression profiles of colorectal cancer cells and normal epithelial cells were examined and compared using laser microdissection and cDNA microarray analysis. From these combined techniques, several cancer-related genes, including TROP2, were identified. TROP2 is known as a calcium signal transducer and is highly expressed i...
متن کاملAssociation between pre-chemotherapy serum levels of vitamin D and clinicopathologic findings in gastric cancer
Background: To examine serum levels of vitamin D in newly diagnosed gastric cancer (GC) patients compared with normal subjects and any possible association with prognostic variables. Methods: One-hundred subjects (50 GC and 50 controls) were enrolled and serum vitamin D levels were assessed using ELISA. Based on two definitions, vitamin D was classified as a sufficient level (≥30 ng/dL) and op...
متن کاملTrop2 is overexpressed in gastric cancer and predicts poor prognosis
The cell surface protein Trop2 is overexpressed in a variety of human cancers. Trop2 expression increases tumor development and metastasis and reduces patient survival. However, little is known about the role of Trop2 expression and its prognostic value in gastric cancer (GC), particularly in Chinese populations. We analyzed Trop2 expression in GC tissues collected from Chinese GC patients. Qua...
متن کاملClinicopathologic and biological significance of kallikrein 6 overexpression in human gastric cancer.
PURPOSE Human kallikrein genes (KLK) have been reported to be involved in human malignancies and several KLKs are promising biomarkers of prostate, ovarian, testicular, and breast cancers. Herein, we investigated the clinicopathologic and biological significance of KLK6 gene expression in human gastric cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS Using real-time reverse transcription-PCR, we analyzed the KLK...
